During the past year (the first of my retirement years) many people have asked me what 'retirement' is like.
Well, the best way for me to convey it to you 'working folks' is to use a 'Weekend Analogy'.
During all of those working years, I always held my weekends to be sacred - my time, to do whatever I wanted. 3-day weekends were even better; and the occasional 4-day weekend was always the ultimate.
So then, what is retirement like? Well, retirement is like a long succession of 7-day weekends, that stretches out ahead to the horizon, one after another, after another, after another; unending, inviting, exciting, and most pleasurable.
As pictured above, I'll be up that road a ways, in the midst of one of those 7-day weekends, with a great big smile on my face.
